Honoring the memory of family & friends

Recognize your departed loved ones during Yizkor services.

Deadline and use of the booklet

Please submit this form no later than Friday, September 13, 2019. Service for Yizkor will held during Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Pesach, and Shavuot; dates will be announced in advance, and the booklet will be used for each observance. Please come to remember to help make a minyan, so others may be supported in their memories.

For the Yizkor Booklet

Each year at the Yom Kippur Yizkor service we honor the memory of deceased family members and friends. As in past years, the Ritual Committee will again prepare a Yizkor booklet that lists the names of departed loved ones being remembered by CBH congregants, as well as loved ones who passed away during the past year. The booklet will also contain passages and readings appropriate to the memorial service.

Each booklet listing includes the dates of the loved ones’ lives and their relationship to those remembering them, as in the following example:

                                     Julius Sachs (1917–1991) — Abe’s uncle

Joseph Stein (1937–2006) — their friend
