Rabbi Search Committee Update, October to November 2021

The Rabbi Search Committee remains busy reviewing applications, conducting interviews, sharing impressions, and learning about the candidates, their thoughts, and visions, and enjoying their words of wisdom as we listen to many on-line sermons.  We are excited by the applications CBH is receiving from all over the country.  To-date, we have received a total of 10 applications.  The committee  has  held seven first round interviews, one second round interview and we are looking forward to more interviews in the coming weeks.

Predominantly, the candidates provide thoughtful answers to the questions that are important to our congregation that we collectively defined through the survey results and the Congregational listening sessions.  Some of the areas we are exploring are fostering a warm, inclusive environment that honors all members, creating an engaging and meaningful worship and spiritual experience, encouraging  a dynamic educational environment for our youth, collaborating with our lay leaders, using our Jewish values to pursue justice, and showing compassionate pastoral care.

We look forward to our upcoming interviews and will continue to keep you updated on our progress.  If at any time, you have questions or comments, please feel free to contact us.
