Resources for Interfaith Families

The wonderful holiday season in the midst of Winter brings with it so many opportunities to celebrate with our friends and families, share delicious meals, come together as a community, and share the light of our blessings with others.  For families where one parent is not Jewish (or grandparents), there are additional blessings and sometimes complexities to the holiday festivities.

We are very happy to share the following list of resources that will support the parents and engage the kids around these various issues that may arise in your family.  (Many thanks to our CBH partner, Cynthia Goldberg, who compiled these resources.)  The list includes a variety of website resources along with books that may be of interest.  Please let us know if there are other ways that we can support you and your family.

We have a group forming that is looking to create more dynamic programming for families where not everyone was born or raised in the Jewish tradition.  If you would like to become involved or have ideas for programs please be in touch with Rabbi Greg or our partner, Merry Draffan, who is heading up this initiative.

Blessings for joy and light,

Rabbi Greg
