Heart and Spirit Chant Circle

4th Monday of most months (see calendar to confirm), 7:00 - 8:45 p.m., Sanctuary

Featuring the chants of celebrated Rabbi Shefa Gold, these chants offer a unique way to access our spiritual selves through short texts from the Tanach, paired with powerful melodies.  Participants do not need a musical background, just an openness to experience the power of chant.

For more information, contact CBH partners Carrie Shepard or Hallie Morrow by clicking their names to be added to an email notification list for this group.  To learn more about Rabbi Shefa Gold, please click here.

Mindful Moment Meditation

Tuesdays, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m., Sanctuary

"Welcoming the Sabbath in Silence," Pre-Shabbat Meditation, 4th Fridays of each month, 7:15 - 7:45 p.m., Sanctuary

This is a meditation and spiritual practice group with an emphasis on Buddhist and Jewish mediation.  Rabbi Seth Castleman leads the group.  All group activities are free and open to the entire community, regardless of religious affiliation or experience with meditation.  First-timers definitely are welcome!

On 4th Fridays, Rabbi Seth offers brief instructions followed by silent sit.  Contemplative music completes the transition between this experience and Kabbalat Shabbat services at 8:00 p.m., also in the Sanctuary.  Meditation participants are welcome to stay for services, although this is not expected, nor required.

For more information, or to be added to an email notification list for this group, contact Rabbi Seth by clicking his name, or at 617-935-9697.
