Register for Writing A “Legacy Letter” with Jay Sherwin

Sharing Your Values with Loved Ones

A legacy letter (also called an “ethical will”) is a written document that allows you to share your life lessons, express your values and transmit your blessings to future generations. It is not a formal legal document or a full-length memoir; it’s a brief personal statement, typically just a few pages. Writing one is a rewarding experience that creates an enduring gift for children, grandchildren and other loved ones.

This four-session online course is designed to introduce the concept of legacy letters and to help you craft your own legacy letter.

Session 1 – Wednesday, April 7, 4:00-5:00 PM

Introductory session open to all at no charge.

Sessions 2-4 – Wednesday, April 14, April 21 and May 5, 4:00-5:30 PM

Preregistration required (below) – Enrollment limited to 20 participants

Tuition: $36 per person

Sessions 2-4 will include interactive discussion and brief writing exercises; these sessions will offer advice and a model structure to help you complete your legacy letter, share it with loved ones and preserve it for future generations. Our goal is to create a small and supportive online learning community that will invite you to share your stories and encourage you to start writing.
