Purim Celebration 5781

Share some joy on Sunday, February 28.

Chag Sameach Purim!

The CBH Purim parking lot celebration is on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is the page to register to drive through, to donate to help sponsor our celebration, and to click-through to Upper Crust Baking Company and order hamantaschen for your own celebrations!

Help us pull off a parking lot Purim Celebration!

We are inviting our Education & Youth Program families to come in costume and drive through our parking lot celebration. Purim is a time of great joy and celebration, especially for children.  While the pandemic does not allow us to have our usual festive Purim Carnival, we are determined to provide our children with the gift of Purim.

Each child will be able to receive a few Purim prizes, participate in some of our usual Purim activities such as Guess How Many and receive delicious hamantaschen from our local Upper Crust Bakery.  In addition, each family will receive a kit to make a beautiful wooden grogger as a keepsake of this year’s pandemic Purim celebration.

We need your help to make our Purim parking lot celebration happen.  Please consider becoming a sponsor and supporting us in bringing the joy of Purim to the children of Congregation Bet Haverim. Sponsors will be listed on this page as well as acknowledged in our E-tone newsletter and Education & Youth publicity.

Please note that because of the pandemic, CBH will not be able to assemble our usual mishloach manot and will therefore not be soliciting donations for that project.  Many of us made donations of $100.00 to support the gift of mishloach manot to our community; we encourage you to consider donating your usual amount to support this Purim event instead.

Volunteers will be delivering hamantaschen to our high-risk partners who may be homebound.  Sponsorships of our Purim parking lot celebration will cover program expenses; any additional income will be used to support the CBH general operating budget. Thank you in advance for your support and we look forward to a fun-filled Purim celebration!
