The theme will be Poverty and Food Scarcity in Yolo County. As in past HR Shabbats, the morning service will be followed by a vegetarian lunch and a panel discussion.

Our featured speaker will be Sasha Abramsky, UCD professor and author of The American Way of Poverty.

Shiviti Workshop with Dani Antman Working with author, healer, artist, and spiritual guide Dani Antman, participants in this workshop will create their own shiviti, a visual aid for meditation using a Hebrew name of God, which they will take home along with a daily meditation practice, that includes chanting, repetition of the Divine Name and breath awareness.
