“Here All Along” discussion

Register below for discussions on May 19, 26, and June 2 at 7 p.m.

This will be a Zoom-only event. Please contact Raychel Kubby Adler if you have questions.

“I’m finding that Sara Hurwitz has much in common with Stephen Hawking. Everyone has her book but few have actually read it,” said a Congregation Bet Haverim partner we’ll call Miriam.

Luckily, Miriam, along with the CBH Adult Education Committee, the Partnership Committee and our fantastic Rabbi Greg, can help you change all that!

The author, Sarah Hurwitz, best known as Michelle Obama’s head speechwriter, as well as for her time writing for President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, turns her writing chops toward Judaism, “and no one is more surprised than she is.”

The book, Here All Along, is “not a how-to guide…but a why-to guide” and touches on what Judaism can teach us about gratitude, mindfulness, work/life balance and yes, politics.

You do NOT need to be a CBH Partner or even Jewish to participate. You also do not need to come to all of the discussion dates, although you are welcome to. The only age requirement is a desire to take part. The discussions will be on Zoom.

  • Thank you for registering for the “Here All Along” discussions.

We will be meeting on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m., on May 19 and 26 and concluding on June 2.

  • We would like an exact number, to prepare for sessions. If they will be signing on from a different screen, please have them register SEPARATELY, from their own email address.
  • In case of questions or email problems.
  • Thank you.

After you submit your information you will receive a confirmation email with more details about the scheduled book group meetings. About one day before the meetings, you will receive an email with the Zoom link (or to confirm details of your registration, if we have questions).
