A House of Friends, A Community Open to All

Members Are Partners at Bet Haverim

Being a partner in our sacred community delivers both privileges and responsibilities that elevate the experience above simple membership.  While members expect service in exchange for payment, such as at a gym or as part of a club or service program, partners play an active role in shaping and sustaining their synagogue community.

As a Bet Haverim partner, your gifts of both time and treasure ensure the opportunity for Jewish worship, education and friendships in Yolo County.  By being an active partner in the community, you are able to play a direct role in creating a Jewish life that is personally meaningful and fulfilling to you.

A "Fair Share" Partnership Pledge Philosophy

“Fair Share” means that partners are expected to support the CBH community based upon ability to assume a fair share of the synagogue's annual operating expenses.  By doing so, partners join together form a community that provides for the full breadth of the Jewish lifecycle.  Fair Share also ensures that no one will be denied participation in the community due to financial limitations.

Bet Haverim partners are expected to contribute 1.5 - 2% of gross family income annually as a Fair Share Partnership Pledge.  To the extent that all partners can strive to reach or exceed a sustaining level, the better prepared the synagogue is to meet the needs of all who wish to share in Jewish life as part of our community.

Partnership Pledges are due each year on July 1 for continuing partners, however, new partners are welcome at any time and may pro-rate their pledge commitment.  In addition to an annual pledge, all partnership units also contribute a $250 "L'Dor v'Dor" Maintenance fee each year, to provide for the upkeep and enhancement of our synagogue campus.

The Executive Director welcomes questions about Bet Haverim partnership at , or 530-758-0842.
