25 Million Stitches Project

25 Million Stitches – A Project for Havurot and Others

Join 25 Million Stitches and become part of a 2000-strong global team whose every stitch brings awareness to the plight of the 25 million refugees around the globe today.

Two objectives of the project are:

1. To engage as many people as possible to raise awareness of the global refugee crisis.
2. To amass 25 million stitches to visually represent the sheer volume of this astronomical figure of refugees.

This is a community art installation project of hand-stitched designs on fabric panels.
You are welcome to come up with any design of your choice. There are no bad, ugly, or uneven stitches in this project.

The first full local installation will be at the Verge Center for the Arts, 625 S Street, Sacramento
June 5, 2020-August 15.  The deadline for finished pieces is April 30, 2020.
